Mission: Comfort

Check out my favorite paparazzo in the bottom right corner of this picture.

Blouse: Target
Cardigan: LOFT
Tank top: Old Navy
Jeans: Levi's 545s via JC Penney
Shoes: TOMS (The link goes to the silver ones because the black ones aren't currently available.)
Necklace: Thrifted
Cat: Woods near Cary's school :)

Another rainy day, another round of indoor pictures. Today and tomorrow, my main priority in dressing is comfort. We have two groups of students returning to their countries tomorrow and Saturday, and part of my job is to help them print boarding passes, do walkthroughs at their apartment complexes, and drive them to the airport at oh dark thirty tomorrow. I knew I would be home late tonight (6:30), and at work early in the morning (also 6:30, yikes), so I went with jeans, TOMS, and a slouchy sweater to help me stay comfy through the long hours.

I have something even more comfortable in store for tomorrow. Seriously, the airport at 6:30 in the morning? If I could get away with wearing my pajamas, I would in a heartbeat. Tune in tomorrow afternoon for a lesson in gym clothes as work clothes, from yours truly, the Professor of Lazy Chic.

  1. I don't know what I'd do without my TOMS! I have 3 pair, and I'm missing them this month because I didn't include them in my 30x30. I love yurs with the buttondown and cardi--definitely grad student chic.

  2. I'm thinking I may need another pair of TOMS - I'm starting to wear these out! And apparently they're universally appealing; I had a student who speaks about 50 words of English stop me in the hall one day and say, "TOMS?"
